Matt Pavik

Director

Matt Pavik is in his second decade as a theatre professional in Portland and is excited to bring The Gentlemen’s Ploy to Portland! A jack‐of‐all‐trades theater maker, he works primarily as a director and actor. Matt’s most recent work has been as varied as acting in Portland Revels: The Ghosts of Haddon Hall, directing Fiction by Steven Dietz as the premiere production for Summit Theatre, assistant directing Chess at Lakewood Center for the Arts, directing several readings of new works for LineStorm Playwrights, assistant directing Artists Rep's The Bed Trick, and recording voiceover for an Oregon Lottery commercial. Michelle Bahr

Music Director

Michelle Bahr is thrilled to join the Ploy cast and production team as music director! She recently worked playing keys for Pippin at Sherwood Center for the Arts, Hadestown at Sherwood High School and Groundhog Day at Lakewood Theater. By day, she’s the Grade School Director at the German International School, where she attempts to bring a dash of theatrical magic to her students’ lives. Thanks to her family for making room in life to chase her creative passions!

Tasha Danner

Choreographer, Assistant Director

Tasha is so grateful to Matt and Phil for bringing her aboard as Assistant Director and Choreographer for this project! She also recently directed for the Chapel Play festival. Onstage, she’s been seen at Lakewood Theatre, Broadway Rose, triangle productions, Chapel Theatre, and others. She sings, dances, and acts any time she gets, but her day job is as an Accounting Manager at Caldera, a nonprofit serving youth, awakening their creative potential through arts education and nature immersion. Thanks to Neal for his constant support and love!

M.K. Hobson

Costume Designer

M.K. Hobson has costumed shows for Fuse, Chapel Theater, Portland Actors Ensemble, Funhouse Lounge. She is currently finalizing the launch of the Portland Costume Library, a non-profit organization connecting local theaters and costumers with affordable costume storage, workspace, cataloging, and rental management. Meg Worden

Stage Manager

Meg Worden is returning to stage managing after a long hiatus. When not in the theater as a playwright, actor, or technician, Meg is working as a full-time event coordinator. (Can you tell she's organized?) It's such an honor to be a part of bringing The Gentlemen's Ploy to the stage for the first time! Enjoy!!!

Kristen Mun-Van Noy

Props Lead

Kristen Mun-Van Noy (she/her) was born and raised on the island of Oahu. She has been working as a fight choreographer and teacher in the city of Portland, OR since 2010. She owes her training to Dueling Arts International and her time as assistant fight choreographer at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (2009-10) with resident Fight Director U. Jonathan Toppo. Recent work: A Mirror at Third Rail Repertory and Dear Evan Hansen at Broadway Rose Theatre.

Bruce McDonald

Pianist

Bruce McDonald has retired from teaching but continues to have many adventures in theater! Bruce was a theater director for 18 years in Portland Public Schools, mostly at Grant High School where he was known for having hordes involved in his spectacle musicals. (Largest cast: Fiddler on the Roof with a cast of 603!) He then became an international teacher for 23 years in Germany, Belgium, Turkey, Brazil, India, Serbia and Malaysia. Spectacles all over the world! A favorite description from a colleague: “Bruce McDonald is not a person, he’s an event!”

Karin Lissa Halsinger

Dance and Fight Piano Arrangements

From classic to experimental, emotional expression to educational comedy; Lissa combines a wide range of artistic skills to every project she tackles. Lissa is a music director, accompanist, improviser, arranger/composer, and multi-instrumentalist with formal training in voice, piano, jazz guitar, and Musicology. She is a teaching artist with Vesper School of Music and Michael Allen Harrison’s Play It Forward as well as a freelance stage and production manager. Deeply dedicated to bringing new and adaptive works to the stage, Lissa has found her way supporting new works as a director, performer, coordinator, and orchestrator. Recent music direction credits include Rella: The Musical written by Bevin Victoria and Aaron Wheeler-Kay, The Double Threat Trio with Broadway Rose Theatre Company, educational theater programming with Broadway Rose Theatre, and The Pirates of Penzance with Light Opera of Portland.
